I bought 2 matching couches from Havety's less that 2 years ago. These couches get very little use and they look 12 years old.

I went to the store and expressed my displeasure. They opened a consumer ticket and called to set up a service visit to inspect product. The service person was supposed to be there between 9:30 and 11:30 he called at 12:45 and said he was on his way (guess I will leave work to go back to house). He took a couple of pictures of one of the couches said he would send in and left.

Never touched a pillow! When Haverty's called me they offered to send me some core's to put into my pillows. OR I could buy an upgrade at $110 per core. If my Haverty product was of quality design Why would I need $660 worth of upgrade and why am I finding out now.

Additionally the fabric looks matted and worn and remember this is very little use.

Imagine a full house with multiple kids. I am not asking for anything given to me Just give me some Store credit take these back and I will pick an item of hopefully higher quality as I have been accustomed to with Haverty's in the past.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Good luck with finding any Havertys higher quality furniture as they are almost non existent compared to the quality they sold years ago. It's all about pleasing their stockholders with their sales numbers rather than making sure their customers are getting quality products.

Most of their leather products and case goods are Made in China. Their corporate managers are focused solely on filling their pockets with the profits from sales.

A lot of Havertys furniture is made in China and very low quality. My salesperson told me to purchase some Guardsman plan so if it falls apart before 5 years it can be replaced.

He said it was like insurance on your car although what he didn't tell us was the furniture we received had been repaired prior to us receiving it. The service technician told us it was obvious it had been repaired before. The Guardsman company denied our claim stating we had altered the bed and repainted it.

We never did anything of the sort. Worst quality furniture ever purchased.

Thanks for the review. We were thinking of checking Havertys since we recently closed on our new home.

Will definitely avoid the headache and go elsewhere. We had good experience in the past with Ethan Allen and the furniture was well built and lasted many years.
