Havertys 5 year Guardman warranty is a SCAM. Its a 3rd party business Havertys gets their customers to purchase as an extended warranty for their cheap quality furniture.

Most of it coming from China. Havertys gets $$$$ perks for selling this 3rd party plan. The plan is worthless unless you have kids destroy the furniture with markers or bleach product since the techs cannot fix these type of accidental stains as our salesperson Jeff told us. Guardsman products are also cheaper on Amazon.

If you have a problem with the furniture you will have to deal with this 3rd party company and they suck. We will never purchase from Havertys ever again.

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

YES WE PURCHASED A SOFA AND Chair and the quality is not there. THEY HAVE DELIVERED 3 SOFAS AND ALL HAVE DEFECTS.

We were told by customer service if we had the 3rd sofa delivered, Haverty's would do a check over of Sofa before delivery to confirm Sofa was not defective. It arrived w middle seat of sofa uneven in back, end seats were lined up properly but middle one was inside couch further. The seams were not acceptable in front of sofa worse than the 2nd Sofa we still had. I had them reload Sofa onto truck, asked them to take Sofa and Chair in House, #2 that was delivered but they refused.

I would have to call Haverty's. The Customer Service rep told me if i tried the 3rd delivery they would also compensate us, that we deserved that since we had so many deliveries trying to get Furniture that was not defective. Also because we had to move pictures on walls, mirror, chair, entertainment wall unit, surround sound box, rug, coffee table for them to bring in new Sofa. That we were elderly and this was lots of work on us every time they brought out furniture.

We had just had the house painted inside most rooms, including L R, new Weatherstripping on Doors, Door painted, new Foyer light which they hit and knocked sideways w #2 delivery. So a big problem for us to keep accepting delivery and then find it was defective. I have now decided w my Husband that Haverty's has defective Mdse, lied to us about compensation, about checking and inspecting Sofa prior to #3 Delivery! All Lies.

So we are returning all to them, they will pick up Sofa and Chair and credit our Credit Card. If they do not do as we were told i will be filing a Complaint w the Better Business Bureau !

We had similar problems dealing with Guardsman. It was a worthless and expensive maintenance plan our salesperson talked us in to purchasing.

We even contacted their corporate offices in Atlanta and they did nothing when the leather on our sectionalwas losing color snd started peeling.

We found out afterwards it was made in China snd there were several other complaints online regarding this supposidely top grain leather sectional at Havertys. It is not the same quality of furniture Havertys used to sell 10-15 years ago.
