This chair was damaged upon receiving it. I have asked for repair or replacement. A service person has been to see the problem and assured me that he would order the swivel replacement. That the part would only take a few days (could overnight) to receive and he would make the repair. So far that has not happened. I want the chair replaced or repaired immediately. I was assured these chairs were in stock when I make my original purchase.

User's recommendation: I order two chairs. One is good, one not so good, see pictures. The swivel was delivered bent/damaged. My wife did not notice until delivery person left. The delivery person was not a Havertys employee, but contract delivery. We have asked for repair and service person showed up a few days later and assured us the repair could and would be make likely within a few days of ordering the replacement swivel. He had seen this problem before. It has now been approximately 6 weeks and nothing has been done except to tell me the part has been ordered from the manufacturer but not shipped. Go figure, could have been and should have been an overnight part delivery. We are more than unhappy, disappointed, certainly not satisfied with the service. Any assistance is appreciated.

My interaction with Haverty and Guardman insurance has been profoundly disappointing. Firstly, the services were not provided in a timely manner, and to exacerbate the situation, the desired product is still unavailable.

Despite raising a ticket back in October, there has been no resolution to address these issues.

Attempting to reach Guardman's claim customer care has proven futile, as calls to the provided number, 800285****, go unanswered. This lack of responsiveness adds another layer of frustration to an already unsatisfactory experience.

Moreover, the product's quality is subpar despite a considerable expenditure of over $4000 for my comfort. The customer care service has been notably unhelpful and, regrettably, rude towards customers.

The prolonged lack of a suitable sofa has resulted in backaches, further emphasizing the impact of this ordeal on my daily life. Despite the inconveniences faced, neither company seems willing to offer a resolution.

Requests for store credit or an alternative replacement have been met with resistance.

In summary, the combined issues with service delays, product unavailability, unresponsive customer care, and subpar product quality have resulted in a highly unsatisfactory experience. The prolonged ordeal and lack of resolution continue to be a source of frustration and inconvenience.

Horrible Experience

Spent $40,000 on furniture and was called and emailed at the end of July and told all our furniture would be delivered on August 2nd. Its now October 1st and we are still waiting.

Some things have been delivered, some have been broken, and others are still TBD. I have had a table with no chairs for almost 2 months. Some things were supposed to be delivered last night according to multiple emails and phone calls and yet we still wait. This has been a nightmare and a complete waste of time.

Customer service has been horrendous. We have been told lies during this whole process. Nothing that was promised has ever come to fruition. This is a joke and I can now completely understand the poor reviews you have.

I know $40,000 does not seem like a lot to many people but it sure as *** is to me. I want answers! I want my furniture that I paid for in May and June. I want the damn interest on my cash purchase.

I want solutions and no more empty promises. I want serviceable customer service.

I want to deal with someone that has the power to make things happen. We have been speaking to the manager, Jeff Stanliff, and he has no answers for us or no solutions, just empty promises!

I would never buy another piece of furniture from Havertys!! Worst customer service and furniture gets delivered beat up, dirty and in shambles. I have been dealing with an $800 curio cabinet for months and Havertys could care less!!!

Two Recent Purchases

Bought 2 tempur-pedic queen size beds with adjustable frames. I purchased the one in VA first however because of supply issues I ended up canceling that one because I was leaving for Florida for the winter and they could not deliver it before I was leaving, and I had ordered it well before my planned trip to FL.

I ordered the one for Florida and it was delivered on time on the day I requested. Spent the winter in Florida and three weeks befor my planned return to VA I ordered the bed again and it was delivered the day I requested. However I had explained that it would need to be connected to a new headboard and the delivery people showed up unprepared to do that. They put in a service ticket because I needed parts for the connection but they failed to inform service that I needed the headboard drilled so it could be attached.

Then the parts were delivered but again no tools to connect the bed to the headboard, and oh by the way they charged me $50 for those parts. So another service ticket was out in and again I waited around only to find out that they had sent the service people to my Florida address. Now Im pissed because I waited around once again to get nothing. Another service ticket has been put it for the service people to come to my VA address to hopefully get it right.

I have to wait another week for it and will once again have to wait around for them to show up. If they do not get it right this next time I will return the bed and buy it elsewhere.

Defective Norfolk Sectional

poorly made & uncomfortable. The split frame construction makes the cushions sag, the pillow back cushions became sloppy and lumpy within months, and the service tickets are closed by the company before fully resolved, forcing you to reopen tickets over and over until you're worn down and give up.

Furniture started failing after a year. I paid Havertys $899 for the Guardsman Gold insurance policy. I filed claim, third party tech came out and wrote report. 5 months later, still no resolution. Guardsman is using the covid excuse for not processing claims and says they have to send tech out to start over. When I tried to email them, I got a reply that it will take them 30-45 days to read an email. ?? Havertys is part of the scam.

To tell about a crack and when i will receive 2 more chairs

We waited 6 long months to get our table and it came with a Crack. Havertys says we have to wait till all orders of our style of table are filled before they can deliver us a replacement. That could take years. We still do not have two chairs that we ordered.

Expensive sofa (part of a set) has cushions that have lost the ability to support.

We purchased an entire set of living room furniture and the couch seating has lost its support. Customer Service has been giving me the run-a-round and has told me at least 3 different versions of what they would do to help. Now they say too bad and there are not going to do anything. They are a big ripoff!

Have had issues with batteries from the start. Customer service told me today that the store in Lakeland Florida sold us the wrong batteries and there is nothing they can do to resolve my issues. Glad to get such poor service from your company. I assure you I will never visit your store again or purchase from Haverty, s period.

I was talked into getting the guardsman furniture plan for my sectional which was 299.00! Now that I've filed a claim for someone to come out and get the stain out it's been 6 weeks and I have yet to hear from anyone! Don't get sucked into this trap! No more Havertys! And we have spent close to 10,000 there over the past 15 years! BUYER BEWARE!

The cushions on our less than 2 y/o expensive sofa do not provide any support. I called Customer service and got the run-around and lied to by reps who constantly change what we meant to include a new way to screw the consumer.

We found better options and prices at several competitors after our sales person cut down their competition by naming other stores. We also found better quality in stock items at other furniture retailers. HAVERTYS needs to train their staff to respect the competition since they showed better values without cutting down their competitors. They also delivered as promised. Shows the true character of Havertys when the manager also named other stores saying they had low quality with higher prices.bpractices.

Wait time of receiving merchandise

Last august 2020 place a order for a sofa, it was delivered January 2021. Call customer service, sent pictures of construction .the store agree to an exchange reordered in April 2021. Now I am told it will be November 2021. the dates keep changing , talk with store manager , I was told its the vendors fault not Havertys
