I would like to address a complaint concerning Haverty's and its management. I know about Manager at Haverty\'s in Florence, SC (Tony Scott) that has been sexually harrassing female employees and sometimes customers for many years. It is quite a shame that a big company like Haverty\'s would allow this kind of action to continue. This Manager has been suspended for his actions but yet continues employment. How shocking is this.How many times must people complain before this company takes action. Well honestly it is not that suprising. Look at how they rip people off with their prices.

Before you decide to buy anything from Haverty's, I would like to give you some very useful information that will change your mind on spending (wasting) your time and money purchasing from them. I have for you the amount Haverty's has paid for every itme in house. You will be amazed on how much they are charging you. I will also let you know what to expect as to why you cannot (so they say) haggle prices and why you should never pay a delivery charge. Also I will reveal the truth behind the protection plan (a big joke) and why you should never buy this.

If you would like to know where you can buy the item you are interested in at 1/2 the price Haverty's is selling it for, I encourage you to email me at enoch 17 @ wmconnect.com and I will help you as much as possible. I ask that you research some complaints I (enoch17) have posted about Haverty's and their practices. Why waste your money when you can invest in the same product for 1/2 the cost. As an employee of Havertys for 9 years as a manager.I know the mark up and it is not what this person says it is. Havertys has only made a 3% net profit the last 2 years.

Let me start off by saying that no one should ever shop at Haverty's and here are reasons why.

1: Furniture markup--- Haverty's furniture is so tremedously marked up far more than any other furniture store. Take a piece that costs $999.00 in the store, Haverty's cost only $299.00. A piece selling for $1,999.oo, again Haverty's cost is $599.00.

2: Quality of product--- Haverty's product is not the best by comparison. I have seen so many returns because of the unit falling apart or just being delivered damaged.

3: Delivery cost--- Haverty's has raised their delivery charge from $49.95 to $199.99-$699.99. If anyone pays this, then shame on you.
